Recently while playing a game on my laptop the screen started flickering/tearing.
I've narrowed the issue to the dedicated Nvidia GPU as the issue does not occur when running games of integrated Intel graphics.
It is hard to describe so here is a short 3s clip of it:

I have already tried most screen tearing solutions such as enabling v-sync and messing around with the nvidia control panel. I have also reinstalled all drivers and even tried a system restore to no avail. I guess I would just like to know whether this is something which could be fixed or is it the end of gaming on this laptop?
Laptop specs:
Acer E5-573G
I7 - 5500u
8gb ram
Nvidia 940m
