Hi everyone! I need some help if possible.

I have a Lenovo z710 Laptop and currently not sure what's going on with it.

When I turn it on, i see this:

There's a line on top of the screen when powered on.
closer look:

Afterwards, screen shuts down.

Laptop works perfectly when plugged on an external monitor.
Should I replace the screen or it might be something else?

Thank you.

Specs:
Intel Core i7 4700MQ (2.40 GHz)
8 GB Memory 1 TB HDD
NVIDIA GeForce GT 745M
1920 x 1080
Windows 8.1

Well, it could be the display itself, but before replacing it I would suggest you check the ribbon cable that connects it to the laptop. If it is pinched, bent, dislodged, loose, etc., then you would get problems viewing anything on the display. You may want to also check the drivers for the display.

However, if the ribbon cable isn't the problem, then I would say you need to replace the display.

Thank you for the reply!
I tried what you suggested by checking the ribbon cable and the drivers but no Success. I'll might have to look for a new display.

Thank you again for the reply :)
