Hiya,

I've been trying to sort this for a while and still can't figure out the best way to go about it.

Basically I have my main PC set up upstairs in the house. I have a subscription to watch football online but it only allows me to use it on 1 PC. I would like to get what's on my PC screen onto my living room TV so I can watch it down there as well without having to move the PC every time.

Anyone have any ideas on the best way to go about it?

Cheers

Why wouldn't what you posted work? If you have an HDMI output on your computer, that should work. The only problem with that would be you would have to run network cables through the house.

You have a couple options. You can set up a wireless stream using an adapter like Diamond V stream wireless or StreamEZ. There are several of these types of wireless interfaces available but they all suffer from loss of quality/signal if the wireless interface is not line of sight.

Option 2 is a long hdmi cord - they can be found on the web from $60 up and can be had in lengths up to 100 feet.

If you have a laptop, I would suggest using that as your "permitted" connection and just using a regular hdmi out to your tv.

If you do use an hdmi cord, just setup your windows desktop as two monitors to mirror each other and select the tv as monitor 2.

Wireless is a no go, it's literally the other side of the house with every single wall in los! Option 2 is to much effort, I don't fancy taking an HDMI cable through about 8 walls (or any walls for that matter)! Is there no other way?
