screen turn grey after asus logo came out

Hello..i have problem with my lap top...i turn it on...asus logo come out...then it doesn't display anything...still on..but somekind in grey screen.. when i press caps lock,caps lock light will on..means it still detect.. i can insert my password...can anyone help me..

Please do try these troubleshooting steps that may help.
- First is to do a hard reboot, remove the battery and unplug the AC adapter then press and hold the power button for 20 seconds then try booting it up again.
- Next to try is to boot it up in Safe Mode, while the laptop is booting up repeatedly press on F8 until it loads Advanced Boot Options then select Safe Mode and press Enter.

- If Safe Mode will load and you'll be able to load into the desktop screen please do try running System Restore.
- Here's how to run System Restore: http/windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/restore-refresh-reset-pc
- But if System Restore will still not work last option would be to reinstall Windows 8.
