Screen turns black after editing some things in the BIOS

So I tried to change some things in my BIOS. I have a 8gb ram 2400mhz but it was set to 2133mhz. I tried changing to 2400mhz. When I saved and exit, the screen turns black all of a sudden. The only thing that would let me go back in to my pc is setting the BIOS to default. Does this mean I can't change anything from my BIOS?

certainly not, just that setting that ram to that speed cannot be done at the moment. what make and model and specs?
