screen wont turn on when booted!

the screen of my sony vaio laptop vpcee31fx wont turn on when i press the power button. it seems to boot up fine fan is spinning, cpu gets warm, led light are on but i know its not an external display problem, tried it. also i pressed the caps lock key and the light indicator didnt do anything. ive also done the power cycling a bunch of times and nothing.

ive read that i can reset the cmos but at this point i dont know if itll work. can anyone help?

Contact Sony support about the screen and see what they say. It might be a dead screen.
