honestly this is the first time I've heard of LED monitor. Typically on LCD monitors there's a backlight, that provides a background lightup. This light used to be made out of fluorescent lights, but recently there's been an adaptation of LEDs for the same purpose. So, when LCD screen is listing fluorescent or LED backlighting it's talking about that background light feature. Typically LED has better lifetime and lower power consumption, which improves reliability and battery life.
