Dump it and buy a new one - you can't make it perfect, even brand new ones aren't perfect - :lol:

When you've got one that starts misbehaving, that means it can't be trusted with your data so it's time to throw it away - it's the only sensible thing to do with something that has to be reliable and is relatively cheap to replace.
