Question SD card problem

I have 64gb SD card and i want to make it as a default storage for media stuff from some apps or even default for gallery to save screenshot,etc. on SD card.
using Redmi Note 7 with MIUI 12.5.1

Go to: Settings > System & device > Storage >

Scroll to bottom and select Storage settings. Now here you can set the default storage as “External sd card” for Camera, Backup, gallery, music, themes.

There are some exceptions thought.

This would not work with whatsapp, Skype etc. By default images and videos are stored in phone memory. You can move them to sd card by using file manager/explorer.
