I have basic channels from my Cable Provider. If I connect the coax cable directly to my tv or DVR, I get quite a few SD channels but Local channels populate in both SD and HD channels. For example, CBS-SD is CH 02 and CBS-HD is CH 200. My problem is my DVR has died and I have been trying to find a replacement dvr but have had no luck. I purchased a dvr box that only sourced over the air that did not work due to no reception in the area and have tried several antennas with no success. Next I purchaed a dvr that was made to work with Clear QAM channels but when I set up this device, it found all the cable sd channels but will not locate the locals in SD or HD. My tv scans the following:
DTV Channels found: 0
TV Channels found: 0
Cable DTV Channels found: 112
Cable TV Channels found: 0
I am looking for a device that will allow me to access those 112 channels the way the old dvr did.
The old DVR is a Magnavox HD DVR/DVD Recorder Model: MDR867H/F7
