Seagate external hard disk installer

Hello,
where can i find external hard disk installer? because i have the hard disk but cannot open my file due to my software had deleted.

There is no software needed to access an external hard drive, unless you are running a REALLY old OS like Windows 98. Or are you talking about the backup software that comes with some drives?

What sort of error do you get when you try and copy files from the external HDD ?
