Solved! Security

Ok, so I have a new tablet running 8.1.
Logged on with normal Google account. No problem.

However I am unable to turn on any security, basically it's open with simple swipe to unlock.
Inorder to use certain apps that I use I need to have it secure with either pattern, pin or password .

I have opened settings and searched for screen lock.... The only options given are 'none' and 'swipe'.

Before I send it back does anyone have an idea how I can make it secure and ??

It should be in the Settings > Security > Screen Lock. You may need to check with the support site for whatever tablet you bought if you don't see it there.
