My Sennheiser G4ME ONE's have a pretty loud vibrating sound when i play them with a lot of bass and volume. Is it possible that they are bottoming out? sorry if this is not possible with headphones and i am just an idiot. Now, i have heard that it might be the driver has cracked. Which would not be good at all. But that seems unlikely because i have had them for less than a month and don't usually play them very loud. The only reason this occurred was because i had plugged my headphones into my right speaker satellite which gets it's power from the subwoofer which has an amp in it allowing for much louder sound in my headphones. It was when i did this, turned up the volume to slightly uncomfortable levels and turned up the bass in winndows (more specifically boosted 30 hz by 12 Db) that i heard this loud vibrating sound. I don't yet know if it is only from one earphone which would be bad because that means that it is probably not bottoming out and it is a problem with the driver. I am kind of scared to do it again because it might crack it even more if it is cracked.

Edit: They also sound normal at normal volume's, another piece of evidence that they are not cracked.

Solution
you can test if its both or one side by twisting the headband and holding it up to your ear one at a time.

also, reverse any changes you have made to eq and try at higher volume levels to see if it still occurs.

i've not heard of headphones bottoming out, to me it sounds like you may have damaged the drivers. although it could be possible that something just is not tight inside the headphones which causes a rattling as well due to something internal on the headphones being not tightened down correctly.

the first would be bad and may not be covered by warranty. the second would be a QC issue and would be exchangeable.
