Hi All,

I'm a newbie here and am trying to get a little info on the Sennheiser MD 421-II mic. My board has only 8 inputs operable at the moment, and I need to use a combination of dynamic and condenser mics. Does anybody know, is the MD 421 harmed in anyway by phantom power? I think I remember learning from somewhere that any good dynamic mic should ignore phantom power, yes?

Thanks a bunch,
DJ

Thanks,

I thought it should be alright, but for some reason I could not find that info anywhere in the docs that came with the mic or even online, which I find rather strange.

Thanks, for the reply.

the way that phantom is designed, and the isolation transformer inside the mic, make it pretty safe to use...but you could also call or e mail the factory techs.

Cool... thanks.
