Sennheiser vs Audio-Technica

So I'm looking to buy a pair of good headphones, the main use for them will be gaming I am just not sure which one is better for my use or just better in general sound quality. Out of the three what is the better choice?

game one = hd518/558/598 + mic so essentially two of your choices are the same. given how you want a modmice, i'd take the game one out of the equation and just look at the 598.

the m50 while a good headphone has a small soundstage so is not ideal for gaming.

the beyerdynamic dt990 is a decent choice as well but would need an amplifier. the hd598 would be fine with just about anything.
