I would not call this a black eye. After all, the flaw was handled appropriately, I only wish all the manufacturers would approach their flaws the same way. Basically, the flaw was disclosed after it became history. If you really like your boxing reference, this would be similar to studying the opponent's dangerous move and coming up with an effective countermeasure to block it, before the match. I don't see getting a black eye by doing that, if anything, is preventing a black eye.Just sayin'
