You may or may not know, but I used to host a stats page for Tom's SETI team. I am working on merging the old script I had (since it was given to me, and I didn't understand how to put new data in) with a script I found on the internet. It should then automatically download the new stats info from the SETI servers and put it in my database. After I get that done, I'll try to figure out how to automate the upload process. To see what the old site looked like, go to seti.camnetworking.com BTW: Is anyone even interested?

We use to work together on this, then you disappeared. It was once a really cool thing with graphs etc. Let's do this again.

I can't access your THG Seti page. Is it down now?

I believe I may have the site up in a day or two. I need to collect a couple more day's data before I can throw it out there. As of now, I just click a button and it does it all for me. I am working on making it execute the data retrieval at the same time every day to improve consistancy.

So you will be pushing it out this Saturday?? Just curious because I just joined the team last week and would like to compare my progress in a little more detail then the team page shows. Thanks!

Just thought of another thing. Can you edit the Team Page on Seti's site? There seem to be a ton of inactive members and maybe we can clean it up. I just moved into 55th place but I'm passing people who haven't turned in a wu since 2000 and 2001. Thanks.

Yay! I should be able to get a few more comps running seti very soon. My average wu time will go up a bit, but that's no biggie.

(running XP 1.70 GHz now, gonna add a 1.2 Duron and a 504 P3...)

Do you think this is the right thing to do? I mean to delete former active members? I was thinking maybe we could delete the members that never returned a unit, but still not sure if it is not very nice to delete inactive members. Does anyone know if we lose their numbers if we delete them?

One thing I could do is to start a mailing list of members (of course kept confidential). This would be used for only very important things such as a deletion alert for inactive members. However, I think we should appreciate the contributions of past members that are inactive now and not delete them? What do you think?

Congrats Silverpig.

Michael I see where your coming from. And I agree that would should appreciate the contributions of past members. Also I don't know if we would lose their numbers if we delete them. I guess its up to the majority as to whether we delete them or not. My only thought was that they are no longer around and would never know they were deleted. I didn't mean it in a mean way at all, just a way to clean up the team site and get a more accurate view of where people stand and how many active members we have. But either way I don't mind. Also it seems as if this team has lost some steam. From the last date shown on the web page Hammy is restarting THG team has completed 65,318 additional wu while the Little White Dog team has completed 723,073 additional wu. We need to get our membership up and start kicking out some wu.

We should not delete inactive members. First of all, I think only Cesi can do that anyway, but I do believe that their units would be lost. By getting rid of their units, we would severly hurt our team standing.

Hey Hammy,
I have Cecsi's password now. I can delete them if you want. What about deleting just the ones that signed up and never returned a unit? Another thing I can do, is that now that I have Cecsi's password, I can see everyone's email address. I can pass a message along to everyone that is on the team or has ever been on the team. But I have to ask first. I don't want to spam anyone.

Perhaps we should setup a poll on here and determine what we should do. I really don't know what to do. I don't see any harm in [-peep-]-canning the users who have done nothing.

Is there any way to break up the user list into "returned a unit in this past week" and "has not returned a unit in this past week"?
