Sharing wirless internet

hi. I have wireless internet at home. If i have a couple laptops and 2 desktop computers, and they are all downloading something, streaming videos, browsing web, etc, does that slow down the download speed compared to if i was just using 1 computer at a time?

depends on the size of the files..and your INTERNET speed and how the router sends packets to each pc. most router have things like movies and the pc that gaming would get the most bandwidth from the router..the person that doing windows updates..would have the slowest speed. (4 or 5 web surfing pc not going to see any slow down) it the pc that torrenting or using most bandwidth that going to slow the household down.

Unless you've got a crazy internet plan, absolutely. I don't think the router itself will have trouble with only four machines, though. Check your speed on speedtest.net.
