Sharp 60 led tv

Solution
Definitely sounds like a capacitor issue it may work fine for a while but if it does it again and gets to the point where you try to turn it on and nothing happens or the tv keeps turning off and on really quick or there is a switching sound. Then it is an easy fix for someone that knows how to solder. I hope it works out and chance are soon that the tv with show symptoms again like I explained above.
Could be a few things, popped capacitors is the most likely. Look up LED TV keeps shutting on and off, this could be a $20 fix. If your not comfortable with working on TVs, then find someone that is good a soldering. Ofc there is always the tv repair guy option.

could be the power supply board or even a software problem. I know my Vizio will do it when it downloads and updates itself.

Well thanks for that answer I told my husband, he thinks because he had it on too long it overheated. Woke up this morning and it's been fine now.
