I have an HLD-X9 using S-video to an i-Scan Ultra, then to a Sampo SME-34WHD5
HDTV.
When I watch the end credits of the Japanese LD Sakura Wars, I see the kanji
"shimmering" or "pulsing" (not quite the right word) as they scroll up the
screen. I do not know the word for this, but it's like the top line of the
character moves before the bottom, "stretching" the character, then the bottom
catches up.
I thought it was something to do with line doubling, but I can't find a way to
change the i-Scan settings, or the X9 settings, or the TV settings.
What's going on here and is there any way of stopping it? Is there a setting
somewhere I'm missing to disable this effect?
TIA,
H. Brown
