Shock, magnetic field, infrared lights and radio waves? Jeez... I want to be smarter not get brain cancer. Anywho... I was very interested in Transcranial direct-current stimulation a few years ago: http/en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transcranial_direct-current_stimulation I never had the balls to buy my own kit though, but in the forums people say it works.
