Short of having cable or satelite is there another way to watch live TV? I'd like to cut the cost, I have internet, wifi and a smart tv so I have access to Netflix and Hulu. But what about a show on like AMC for example, I work second shift (when most everything worth watching is on), is there a way to record this so I can watch when I'm home from work?

You can use an over the air digital TV antenna for network broadcasts and local TV.
There are ways to record shows on a computer but since most programs are available the next day for streaming there is no reason to record them. If you have Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Video that will cover you for most shows. Hulu has AMC programming.
You can also Kodi, which runs on many devices, to stream almost anything with a bit of set up and searching. It is free so you can try it on a computer. If you TV is android and connects to the Play store you can download it onto the TV.
