Should a software provide customer service and update for lifetime?

I have a financial accounting software. Recently, there is some bug where the SQL table gone wrong and I was charged. The question is, should a program developer charged it client for their own software glitch/bugs? Also, should they provide us, as a client, free customer service and update for lifetime? Thanks.

Usually depends on what's in the contract, whether it's an actual bug in the source code or just corruption, and other stuff.

They certainly won't be providing you free lifetime customer service and updates - that's generally what you're paying for.
