I saw a thread about this projector and it seemed pretty sweet.

These are not my pictures, they are from some ipad forum but the thread seems to be dead so im asking for opinions from tom's hardware users.

what do you guys think. Only reason im considering getting a projector is because its small and LED and doesnt need bulb replacements.

100 inches? As if.
My mate has a real 1080 3D projector with ~100inch screen. The bulbs are considered to be cheaper than usual at ~$300each.

So don't expect much from that. Maybe 20-30 inches at best in a pitch black room, and the resolution is far too low to go any larger. Any plasma or lcd screen will likely be far better.
Don't waste your money IMHO.

Im only hoping for a 60-70 inch screen.. the unit only costs 339.. Ur talking about a thousand dollar projector with bulbs the same price as the projector i planning to buy. its a big hard to compare the two.

If you look at some of the projectors in the same price range you're seeing 2000 lumen ratings, not the 110 lumens for this projector.
As mrmez sez - very dark room only, especially at longer distances.

IMO you're much, much better off buying the best monitor or TV you can in the same price range as use that instead of this budget projector.
You can get 32"-37" LCD HD 1080P TVs in that price range.
