Hello everyone, recently my cousin is ready to blow $2,500 for a laptop but he ultimately passed the judgment to me on which he should get. To summarize my cousin's characteristic... he is a video editor, a photographer with a DSLR camera and all of those lenses, he works with an airline industry [recently hired to do some promotion and video editing work] but most of all... HE IS A GAMER.... LITERALLY he has two gaming PC's and he just donated one for me.

Anyway he is torn apart between a 15-inch MAC BOOK PRO from 2015 https://www.google.com.ph/search?q=mac+book+pro+2015&ie=&oe=#q=macbook+pro+2015+15+inch

vs

the ASUS ROG G752VS-XB72K https://www.amazon.com/G752VS-G-SYNC-Gaming-Laptop-i7-6820HK/dp/B01K1JW5DY

now to be fair for both I will try to be unbiased as possible. Naturally when he asked me about which one it was my instinct as mainly a PC gamer to choose the ROG. Then I forgot he has professional work to do. Now I beg this community to convince me WHY I SHOULD PICK THE ROG for work and play over the MacBook pro?

***Things I would like you guys to answer first...

*is the ROG more durable than the Apple MacBook?

*Is the Retina display of the MacBook more color accurate for photography and video editing?

*is the MacBook FASTER, SMOOTHER, MORE OPTMIZED compared to the ASUS ROG when it comes to adobe premier/light room and other video editing or photo editing software?

also guys please provide benchmarks. I don't know what to do... I don't want my cousin spending 2.5k just to have buyer's remorse I also don't want him ending up losing his job because the ROG is not color accurate or dies quickly on battery

P.S. it's 2am here... sorry if I can not reply. I'll read tomorrow

Thank you for the reply! I am scared as hell on what to pick for him. My PC instincts goes to the ROG one... but my "professional instinct for telling someone what to do in a certain task" calls for the mac. Do you have atleast benchmarks for adobe premier for both machines?

my god this is one of the hardest decisions I have to make. He said that both are great and is like choosing between a Ferrari and Lamborghini. Also I made a thread at reddit asking the Apple communit as well... crap https://www.reddit.com/r/macbook/comments/5r9vqo/why_should_we_get_a_macbook_please_help/
