Hi guys,
I've started using my laptop with a HDTV and I've noticed that even when I extend the display to 2nd one (in this case it's the TV), the laptop's screen is still working, even though it's showing nothing but the desktop. However, this means it's still consuming power. So the question is - is it possible to shut off the screen of a laptop, but keep the laptop working?

Hi, yes you have a function key at the top of the keyboard who does what you want. Depending of the laptop you have, could be FN + F6 or F7.

Yes, there is a symbol with a screen and a big X in it and it seems quite obvious, but this one puts both screens to sleep, not one of them. :) However, after some testing in the resolution window I figured how to do it myself :)
