I just won an auction for a mountain bike wheel on eBay ($35 final price
+$6 shipping) and I received this email from the seller 2 days after the
auction ended,

------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hey sorry for the delay on sending the invoice and getting back to you I
was gone for the weekend. I appreciate you paying me in advance for the
shipping, however I don't believe the amount payed will cover the amount
it will cost me. I have a Fed Ex prefered shipping account and according
to the package dimensions it is considered oversized. I have shipped
similar sized packages and I know it will cost $26.00 for the standard 2
day ground service. I use Fed Ex because I feel it is the most cost
effective way of shipping from residence to residence. I don't charge
handeling because they don't charge me. If you disagree for any reason
please let me know.

Thanks again for the speedy payment
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

I really want the wheel, but I don't want to pay more for shipping. He
quoted me $6 to my area code then changed it after I won the auction.
That doesn't seem fair. What should I do?

How about posting to an appropriate news group.

I don't see how being posted to comp.sys.laptops has ANYTHING to do with
Bicycle wheels.

1) Try another newsgroup.
2) Pay the asked price and get the wheel.
3) Don't pay the asked price and don't get the wheel.
4) Talk to the seller.
5) All of the above.
6) None of the above.
7) Other.
