SIM unlock code from sprint.

Why does everyone avoid this simple question?....if sprint gives you the unlock code for your phone how do you use that code? Because just popping in a different SIM card doesn't work....and I have a LG G4 and I know for a fact you can use GSM on it.....any help will help thanks.

Not 100% certain, but I'm pretty sure that Sprint does this over the phone. As in, you need to call their customer support line and let them know you want to perform a DSU (domestic SIM unlock), at which point they should transfer you over to an elevated support technician who can do that. Very often, the initial customer support reps you speak with will have no idea what to do, since it's not part of their training for whatever reason.
