I have a regular sims 2 game and can't install it because it is a DVD for a Mac computer how am I supposed to install it on my laptop which is an HP.

The simple answer is that you cannot. Windows and Mac OS are two distinct operating systems that are not compatible with each other. If you want to play the Sims 2 on your Windows based HP laptop, then you need to purchase the PC version of the Sims 2. Additionally, any expansion pack you want to install must also be the PC version.

If you do not want to buy the PC version of the game, then the alternative is to buy another Mac; assuming your original Mac is no longer functional.

Note: A new Mac cost more $$$ than the PC version of the game.
