Skull Candy earbuds not recognized by android

The earbuds work perfectly fine on other devices. And the phone having the problem with earbuds works just fine with any other earbuds or headphones. I have LG optimus (LG-d415) with android 4.4.2

Also they were working perfextly fine for a very long time on this phone.

Just use other ear buds then.

And my sisters phone (same model) doesnt recognize them either. By recognize, i mean when plugged in the phone doesnt even think anythings plugges in.

Why would i use other earbuds? The other ones I have dont even come close to the bass these skull ones do, and i dont feel like paying for brand new earbuds if they are working just fine on any other device.

Then pull your phone apart and replace the earphone socket.

Okay theres 2 phones doing it, its very unlikley to be my earphone socket.

And they worked perfect before on this phone too

Try cleaning all of them - the jacks and the plugs.

Okay, i did, still nothing. I think its software issue, but not sure how to fix it.

Its not a software issue. Its just that if the jacks and the plugs are worn they no longer make contact. You can't replace the jacks in the phones. But you can replace the plugs - by replacing the earphones.

Then why do they work just fine with any other device?

Its just both my lg, and sisters lg optimus having problems recognizing the earbuds

Yep - they have worn jacks. And the buds have worn plugs.

But all other buds work perfext on the phones. And the skull buds work perfrct on any other device.

Yes - the other buds don't have worn plugs. The other devices don't have worn jacks.

Sup?, moto g5 user here. Same problem with skullcandies...

when i Tried with 3.5mm extension cord sound came through all mumbly and horrible.
