Slow Download on Lenovo y700

I just factory reset my lenovo y700 gaming laptop and everything is working fine except the download speeds. Most notably for steam. I remember first getting the computer having this issue and having to download something or change a setting, but since I reset it, this has been undone. Any suggestions on how to get my download speed up, its at about 500 Kbs and the test says it should be at 80 Mbs.

download speed usually has everything to do with your internet and your storage's read and write speeds.

that being said, to increase the speed I would suggest a faster SSD. if you believe it is a software issue I can't help you there.

try downloading (probably from different computer) the newest drivers for laptop.
Is this "Killer" networking chip?
