I just brought the Lenovo G505s and it has been working flawlessly except that it is only able to download at a rate of 15.14 Mbps. Opposed to my other laptop (Sony Vaio) from 4 years ago gets a speed of 33.14 Mbps when downloading. When looking under the "Wireless Network Connection Status" window, I was able to see that the speed indicated on the Vaio is marked 144.0 Mbps, where the G505s is only indicated as 72.2 Mbps. The upside is that my upload speed is very similar on both devices with speed of ~4.4 Mbps. Is this a hardware limitation issue or must I config something on my laptop or router?
If you are wondering about the antivirus I am currently using, it is a combination of Microsoft Windows Defender and Malwarebytes.
P.S. I installed the latest drivers for the wireless card and updated the bios for the G505s already.
