Slow graphics card

I have the Lenovo Y520 legion gaming laptop which has

16 gb ram
Gtx 1050
I7 7700hq
1tb HDD

And i thought i should get an m.2 970 EVO drive and upgrade my laptop, so i did that and reinstalled a fresh windows 10 install, since my drive was filling up, and everything worked fine untill i started a game, the game was sooo slow and used only 400 vram for some reason, i tried alot of soloutions like restarting the pc, changing to the default BIOS settings, and also reinstalling the game but still nothing please help.

have you reinstalled graphics drivers? and are you sure that its actually using the 1050 not integrated graphics?

Yea i did reinstalled my graphics card driver and checked that i was using rhe gtx 1050
