Hi guys. I have a ideapad 330s 14 inch screeen intel core i7 8th generation 1 T HD 4G RAM 1 year old, of course no warranty at this point

I have antivirus instaled

The laptop has become really slow, to the point it is making very hard to make it start.
I am looking for suggestions. Increasing RAM may help?
Thanks

With those specs, yes another 4gb of RAM would help as would swapping the drive for a solid state and doing a clean Windows setup. Or just try a clean Windows setup, it's likely to help you more than trying to sort out the issue on the current build, but more RAM and a solid state drive will speed it up by a lot.
