Smart TV to Sony SRS x55 speaker

Hello, how do I connect my Samsung Non Bluetooth Smart TV to Sony SRS-X55 Bluetooth speaker? I used the optical chord from the TV to the speaker but get no sound. Help Please!

I will assume that since the only input the speaker has is an analog stereo mini plug (not an optical input) that you purchased an optical to analog converter to connect the speaker to the TV.
Did you turn on the optical out. You may need to turn the TV speakers off and change the audio output type in the TV menu to PCM stereo. Check your TV manual for details.
