I dont know if anyone has said it yet but the reason its different from Nazis, russians or japs killing americans is because those wars are done and over. No harm is being done when your pretending to be a Nazi killing an american. But if americans are getting killed by the taliban today why on earth would you want to pretend to fight for the taliban?

@Nexus

You don't half talk shit to be honest. There is a huge difference between an historical war, whether it was 60 years ago or 10 years ago, than a current conflict.

Allied troops are coming home in body bags every day, getting people to enjoy a game where that is currently happening, to entice them to enjoy killing allied troops and get joy out of it whilst it is still happening is morally wrong. Arguing otherwise just shows you are bereft of any human understanding and compassion.

You references towards WW2 movies and Vietnam movies are at best lame, not to mention inaccurate. Yes there were some movies made during the war (surprisingly few) these were made as morale boosters, they certainly didn't encourage people to pretend to be Nazi or VC and enjoy killing your own troops...

I was in the Falklands war, lost friends there too, it wouldn't bother me one little bit if they made a game of it now, but it would of sure as hell pissed me off if during that conflict people had released a game here encouraging people at home to play as Argentinian troops killing British troops.

Tell me if a woman's husband died, would you just walk up to her before the funeral and ask for a bunk up? Any decent person would say no, because it would be inappropriate, not enough time had passed for her to grieve. The same rule applies here, this game is inappropriate, it is morally wrong and to argue otherwise just proves you have lost any decency you may have ever had

WOW!

First of all, a video game is a type of media that allows free expression. Like Movies or Music or newspapers. In order to ban a game like Medal of Honor, it maybe should have been done years ago when it was US vs Russia, or US vs Germany, US vs Somolia, US vs Korea, US vs Vietnam, yadadadadad. With all due respect to those serving and those lost serving, I understand you want nothing to do with the game/idea. Then don't play it or buy it, It's that simple! I can guarentee you that over half of the bases are playing FPS's like bad company 2 or Battlefield 2 and yes they are on both sides killing and shooting each other. I'm Canadian and would love to have a game where we are actually involved other then over shadowed by the US. Maybe we can have a game like CAN vs US? Maybe we can do it in the winter time and call it like "the Olympics" and then play it on an ice surface with blades attached to our feet. Maybe we can call it "hockey", oh wait it's already been done, and guess what CAN won wahoooooooo!!!!!! GOLD!. mmmmmmmm maybe we should ban the Olympics too? or maybe just hockey all together? Or maybe just maybe sports all together? Just a thought.

well, im still gunna get the game, cause it looks fun. people today seem to always look for higher meanings in things, when sometimes there is no higher meaning. Sure, some people may take personal offense to the word taliban, but dont guilt trip the rest of the world out of a product. so, everyone should just buy it if they want it, dont if you dont

This is not BS. The war is still going on right now. Those WWII games where you get to be the Naczis, the war ended years ago. But, this game is not sensitive to the current war that our troops are fighting. If EA wants to add this feature, wait until the war is over. Their doing this is a clear example of the value of profit over national pride.
