some sim card is working on my tablet and some is not working

when i insert a simcard on my tablet it is not working but the same i put it on nokia mobile and its working and i put another sim card on my tablet and its working and that sim card is to old.

sim cards expire or deactivate and some tablets are locked from using other mobile companys and some dont support certain frequency.
