In America, Walmart markets that model for US$809. In Canada, Walmart does not sell Sony televisions. Best Buy has to stay competitive to Walmart, which means they take a $50 haircut just to sell you that set and hope you buy Monster Cable, warranty, and a blu-ray player.

Coincidentally, Walmart uses the same warranty company and probably sells the cheese cheaper on it. Walmart exists to undercut all other stores for market share.
