Good point, I definately will not sell that laserdisc. I bought it as a
collector and do not intend get rid of it. It's just that i could get at
least what I paid for it if I wanted to.

Get this though, somebody on eBay was selling the same disc as a "buy it
now" only item for $19.95

My jaw hit the floor, lol. I bought it immediately and got $120. :)

I almost felt bad for ripping the guy off like that, he obviously had no
idea what it was worth.

It was a brand new import when I bought it - brand new - now
getting close to 20 years ago :)

I'm guessing I bought it about 1986. And in those days mail-order
was about the only way to buy and LD's unless you lived in a really
large city.

I had a Pioneer LD-600. Ungainly top-loading beast - and later I
moved to an 8210 - both of which had real laser tubes before
solid-state was put into use. Also a top loading device.

It was so nice when slot loading players became available.

The tar baby part is the number one sticking point for Disney. Sure
they can call that chapter 'A Trap for Brer Rabbitt' or some such thing
but if they want to kill the bootlegs the film will have to be released
complete and unedited.

Song of the South is actually back on the radar and set for around the end
of 2005 to early 2006.
