Replacing the fan 'may' help, but that may not be the only issue. You need to find out what is overheating exactly and if it is just from the fan, if the fan isn't working correctly, or if it is something else. Dust in there, debris, dying part, in need of change in thermal paste. There are a lot of variables here.
