I am not sure the actual reasoning for having the touchpad on the back of the unit. The touchscreen yes, but that seems a bit excessive. I never liked the devices with 3G included, much rather just have wifi. I like online gaming but wouldn't pay extra for that.

This may be my first handheld console, ever! And I've been gaming since the Atari 2600.
The AT&T deal might kill it for me though..

[citation][nom]captaincharisma[/nom]by just going after the punctuation and grammar and nothing else just proves my comment was right want to try again or is that all you got? thought so[/citation]

You're just mad that Sony made another pile of... well, crap. Sony fanbois, always crying about something.

I'm no AT&T fan but I can't blame Sony by going with them. All the other carriers don't like taking risks on new tech until they see it being profitable. AT&T is will to invest in new ventures. So for now I guess we all have to EMBRACE THE SUCK!

I don't get the point on handheld games, but they should move to HD gaming, I mean 320x240 (QVGA) and 60fps at 640x480 (VGA)

seriously?

that's the camera dude... not the display resolution.

Fail.

The price is right on the cutoff line I specified. I'm no console or portable gamer (last portable device I bought was Game Boy) but for the specs at that price, even I may spring for one.

This would be a good replacement for my aging Nokia tablet/palmtop, if it could run Linux. Sadly, I'm not hopeful... 🙁

I am impressed, but knowing this is a product coming from SONY. It'll be completely ANTI-FRIENDLY towards home brews. Sad.

[citation][nom]bin1127[/nom]nice specs. 480 on a 5 inch screen really puts our 1080 24" to shame. and 4 cores on a handheld is really mind boggling.[/citation]
Actually the screen has 544 horizontal lines.

perhaps they've learned their lesson :)

the connection to MS Vista just gives it a bad name!
But Vista kind of reminds me of sony's loading disc text, something you probably see more than anything else on any of their consoles!

Loading.... Vista doesn't show the loading sign, but instead just freezes for a while!
