Hey I upgraded to windows 10 and shortly after tried opening Sony Vegas Pro 13 to edit a video. At the loading screen, before the program opens I get this error:

I tried completely uninstalling (from control panel, removing Sony Vegas file from registry and deleting the Sony Vegas file from Program(x86)) and reinstalling Sony Vegas multiple times and even tried downgrading to Sony Vegas Pro 12. I heard somewhere that it might be an incompatibility with my graphics card, so I removed my graphics card from my machine and Sony Vegas worked fine. Is there any way I can set Sony Vegas to NOT use my graphics card? Permanently removing it is not an option since I play a lot of games on my PC.

Solution
thats easy! go to options > preferences>video and at the GPU ACCELERATION of video processing turn off ! also from now on if you had your vegas to render using either gpu ,opencl , cuda etc make it at every video preset you use at the REnder as, customize your template and at the Video Tab, at encode mode USE ONLY CPU ,and thats it my friend your gpu wont be used in vegas!

i also noticed you sayed at the logs problem "application Version: Version 12.0 (Build 770) 64-bit"
Meaning you opened sony vegas 12 not 13! re-install vegas 13.. you wont lose your projects!(make them a backup before proceeding)

THANK YOU SO MUCH!,

Sorry for responding this late but I only now noticed a reply. You have helped me tremendously! Do you know what could have caused this problem? is it just an incompatibility with Vegas and my graphics card?

BTW to anyone reading this with the same issue, you're going to have to remove your graphics card from your PC to run it in the first place, after that follow theguyisback23's directions!

To answer shortly, yes incompatibility..
Hey There, glad i finnaly helped someone again :D The cause of the problem is your GT730 - its super fast , and sony vegas for no apparent reason works wonder with those old amd and maybe some nvidia like gt240 etc.. The Open Cl 2.0 framework is vegas optimised, while every new gpu has eithger open Cl 2.1+ or newesr Cuda technology by nvidia, When there will be the Vegas 14 (if it will) it will hopefully has full backwards compatibility and pre applied settings for Gpu's Of 2016.
For now, the only Setting that worked for me to encode faster videos with gpu acceleration is Sony AVC/MVC(use .mp4
output).. Note i have an oldie but goodie ati amd hd4670 1Gb gddr3 gpu
