Hi,

Whenever I begin a render on Sony Vegas movie studio platinum 11 immediately crashes the graphics card. I checked the build (322) and its currently the latest version.
PC Specs:
Intel Core i7 4770
Windows 8.1 (64-bit)
Gigabyte Z87X-D3H
16GB Corsair 1866mhz Vengeance Pro (2x8GB)
Samsung 120GB 840 Evo SSD
1TB S-ATAIII 6.0Gb/s
AMD Radeon R7 260X 2GB - Driver: 13.250.18.0
Onboard 7.1 Audio
550W Corsair VS

It rendered perfectly fine on my old graphics card (same 260x but that was replaced as it kept crashing in any programme) My new card works fine except when I try to render on Vegas.

I just tried to render a file in a very low quality, 512kbs, and it worked, the problem is rendering HD.

Have you tried turning off GPU acceleration of video processing to see if it makes a difference? You might want to check the encode mode to see if it is set to automatic, render using GPU only, or render using GPU if available. This seems to be an issue with some versions of Vegas. According to an old thread at Sony (http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/Forums/ShowMessage.asp?Forum=12&MessageID=815226) it could be a problem with the newer driver set for Radeon cards (Catalyst). I'm guessing here because I've never used Sony Vegas Movie Studio.
