Sony: We're Not Arrogant; Apple is Arrogant!

I use both PCs and MACs...how many times do i have to say it MACs work better with less problems then PCs but MAC doest allow for the same kind of public creative imput that that PC gets. As a result the PC is more prone to failures crashes gitches and compatabilty issues. Not to say these problems cant be over come they just require more know how on a pc making the MAC the computer for the rest of us....comparing MACs to PCs is like comparing subcompacts to SUVs they both target a completely different consumers. So get over it macs are great and pcs are great just depends on the kind of person you are and what your trying to do. Also what the hell is this news about? Arogance? Why are they arogant because they made a product that didnt sell thats just the way the market works why is apple arrogant because they made a product that did sell you people just dont like it? SO we have 2 companys both of which make lots of money both of which have developed technology that is still around and continue invent new things that people love and you call them Arrogant? Just because these products dont appeal to you doesnt mean they dont appeal to everyone else GET OVER YOURSELFS

I've been avoiding Sony products over the last 10years, and have been of Apple, well since forever.

Fact:

Both Apple and Sony build PCs that are overpriced, crappy, and use old outdated hardware. Oh, and the BIOS are locked for overclocking, and the PCs in general are made from low quality parts.

The only cool thing apple has done is the Itouch/Ipohne.

Te only cool thing Sony has ever done is thier TVs.

Cheaper, not necessarily better. Don't know why you're dragging them into this, though. He specifically mentioned Japan. Japanese consumers often DO buy their own products just because they support their own industry. If you try to sell a competing product, you're going to face a stiff uphill battle, superior product or not.

Consumers in the USA, for the most part don't even know where a product is made, and/or they assume it is Chinese made, and/or they don't give a damn as long as it's cheaper.

Apple is nothing more then targeted marketing brainwashing. If you look at the huge profits Apple makes and yet the only place they dominate in electronics is MP3 and the iPhone. You then realize this company is all about profit margins. Considering that their source of manufacturing is China just as most electronic manufactures are. You can conclude that their products are no better or worse then anybody else. But they have managed to market themselves very well and have created a cult of user and media who continue to support this claim. When you have that its creates dollars. I am not saying Apple makes crap, I am just saying Apple makes typical hardware that is marketed very well. The sense that its better is in the marketing.

I agree mostly. Although, their stuff is more aesthetically pleasing than most. TBH, the aluminium unibody is the most attractive laptop shell out there. They do, make beautiful products. That's why designers like'em and that's why it's so easy to market. I wouldn't say they brainwash people any more than other companies. All you have to do is look online at a manufactures website to see the bs pouring out all over the place; even over products I like, use and would recommend.

Apple is pushing for h.264 but is too cheap to licence official Blu-ray codecs, tssk, tssk.
Apple is very verbal about the IMMENSE amount of WORK they have done on MP4 and h.264.
Only, nobody actually asked them to do it.
But then refusing to acknowledge other people hard work in the same kinds of technologies. Seems to me it's gone too far for them.
