Sorry, but I need help fast. will this phone work?

I need to order a phone within a day, if I'm going to get it on time. I'm somewhat of a noob about phones, I know about the specs but not the connectivity.

Please help if you know the answer. I need to contact someone quite quickly via phone, but I never call anyone. It's a whole ordeal. I was planning on researching more first, but I don't have time for that anymore. So, yeah. I need to know if that phone will work in my region, and on which carrier.

You know if you are on the internet you can just call someone... don't need to buy a $250 phone to make a call when there is Skype...

Anyway, it says right on the page its a GSM phone. which means ATT/Tmobile/any other carrier using their networks. Go to their sites and see who has coverage in your area.
