Sound bar compatibility

I have a Samsung C5100. Can I use a Samsung HW J250 sound bar with it?

No it's a tv, forgot to mention that bit. I'm new to this!

Please recheck the model number. That aside, you should be able to connect most soundbars to most HDTVs.

I don't see anything to prevent this combo from working:

That is the one I have but there is no port in the back of my tv to plug into

Look at the manual. There is an AUX IN port and Optical In port. Either will deliver sound to the soundbar.

The HDTV should have a headphone out port that can be connected to the AUX IN. Many HDTVs also have Optical Out ports (why I wanted confirmation of the model number).
