Sound bar connection issues

I have bought a Zvox sound bar to pair with my Magnavox LCD TV I have tried to hook up the bar using both a Coaxial cable and red/white analog rca jack but get no sound. It works when I use head hone to small input jack. How can I get it work using the coaxial set up?

TV's don't have a lot of outputs these days. Are you sure the Coax jack on the TV is an output?
