Sound bar or surround sound

So I have a Panasonic blu ray player and am looking for a good audio system to go with it mainly for movies. now I have a very small budget of £120 because I'm a student so I'm not expecting anything hugely impressive however I would like to know whether a sound bar or surround sound would be good for a small room and what specific products you would recommend

Just because your room is small does not mean that surround sound won't work well. Because it is small a lower priced system will not have to work as hard. Make sure that the system has the correct inputs. If it has an optical input that will work OK. If it has HDMI inputs and outputs even better. Don't know UK home theater in a boxes but take a look at Onkyo.
