Sound bar to tv

I have an element tv and an rca sound bar, theyre connected by aux cord, i have no sound, idk what settings it could be or whatever, it worked fine on my sony tv connected the same way, just had to tweak the tv sound settings, having no such luck with the element tv.

Are you sure you are connecting an audio OUT on the TV to the sound bar and not an audio IN? Were there options in the TV settings to enable sound to the audio out and turn off the speakers?
