Sound card for DT990 Pro?

I'd like to know if I need a sound card/amp to drive a DT990 pro headset, I am about to purchase it and do not know much about that part of audio. I currently own a siberia v2 headset which is the best headset I've had so far.

I have a Gigabyte Z77X-UD3H motherboard right now.

My budget is around the $50 range.

You don't NEED to have one for your headphones to work just fine. That said, even a low-end sound card is going to outshine the native support on a motherboard, so if you have $50 for a sound card I highly recommend getting one.

I decided to hold back on a sound card for now and save up for a sound card later (hopefully the $100 one).
Otherwise I wouldn't really appreciate the quality boost.

No problem. If you're an audiophile you're going to be blown away when you upgrade to a sound card.
